2true Pro Mascara

A few weeks ago I picked up the mascaras from the 2true pro range to test and at £3 each you can't really go wrong. The whole range, which can be found at superdrug, is not only super cheap but also offers really high quality products. The nail varnishes are a particular favourite of mine so thought I would branch out and try a few more products from this drugstore brand.

I have to say for a drug store mascara and the price they really are amazing. My favourite is the wow! mascara in the non waterproof version (pink tube). Not only is the packaging gorgeous but this rivals my false eyelashes when I've put on a few coats. At first I wasn't too keen on the plastic wand, as I usually go for a fibre wand however I soon got over this feature due to the amazing volume and length the mascara gave. The second mascara I picked up was the the waterproof version of the wow!mascara (blue tube). I was quite surprised to find this had a completely different wand and I did find that this affected the way the mascara coated the eyelashes. It didn't give as much definition and length as the non waterproof version but it wasn't too far off. Finally the third mascara I tried was paparazzi (green tube) and I found that with the wand and also the formulation of the mascara this was by far the best for definition. This gave a really natural look, which was something I really liked for day time. Overall I found that the stand out mascara for me was the non waterproof wow! mascara. I can't describe to you the length, volume and definition this gave to my eyelashes and at £3 there is just no doubting that this will be my go to mascara. It really did give the wow factor for my eyelashes!

The mascaras can currently be picked up here from superdrug at the bargain price of £3.

Just as a quick side note I was watching watchdog last night on bbc and saw that the waterproof wow! mascara was tested against some of the most expensive high street mascaras for it waterproof qualities and came out on top! It was shown to be one of the best. Now for a £3 drugstore mascara what more can you ask for?!

Have you got a favourite drugstore mascara?

Lots of Love

Soap and Glory Butter Yourself Body Lotion

I have to tell you about this product as it has turned into one of my absolute favourite moisturising products ever. I'm also a massive fan of anything Soap and Glory. For Christmas I was lucky enough to be given a giant haul of Soap and Glory products in the form of their many gifts sets and in one of them was this gorgeous moisturiser. I normally wouldn't have picked this up in boots as I've always been a Righteous Butter fan. But I am so glad this was included in the set otherwise I may never have tried it.  This moisturiser smells just as gorgeous as the other soap and glory products. It has a slightly citrusy smell and contains shea butter, orange water juice and mango oil amongst many other amazing ingredients. I have the pump version (you can also get this in a pot in the body butter version) and find it very handy. However the only annoyance is when the pump sometimes gets blocked. But this is something I can get over as the product is just so darn good. ...

Maybelline Baby Lips

Hey Guys So after a long time searching I finally managed to get my hands on the most talked about lip balm this summer, Maybelline's Baby Lips. I don't know if its because there was so much hype surrounding them or because I had such high expectations for this lip balm, but when I finally got it I have to say I wasn't overly impressed with what I'd bought. I bought 'Minty Fresh' and 'Intense Care' mainly because they were the only ones left besides the tinted 'Cherry Lips', which just didn't appeal to me. I always buy lip balm for conditioning purposes so often steer clear of anything that is tinted. Don't get me wrong, I don't actually dislike the product at all I was just expecting a lot more from it due to the stir the range had caused when it came across from the U.S. Both products are fairly decent at moisturising but at the end of the day I don't feel they do much more than a tin of Vaseline which costs half the price....
