Vita Coco

So today whilst I was in Tesco I decided to jump on the coconut water bandwagon. I know the blogging world and celebrities have been on this for a while but I had never actually had the inclination to try it until I saw it today. The reason coconut water has become so popular in the celebrity world is because of its low calorie content (18 calories per 100ml) and there are supposedly a number of other health benefits you can gain from drinking coconut water. It is apparently the choice of beverage for those who are dieting and those wishing to "hydrate naturally" after a particularly heavy work out at the gym. Due to the high levels of magnesium and potassium found in the water this can apparently help the body to recover quicker after exercise. I didn't try it after I had been to the gym I drank it as opposed to my normal bottle of water, to shake things up a bit, crazy! (it isn't intended to replace you daily water intake) and have to say I actually quite enjoyed it. It isn't what I was expecting, but then again I don't know what I was expecting? I personally loved the taste of the drink as I enjoy anything that is coconut based however it has a slightly odd after taste which I can only put down to being due to the high potassium content of the water. I did however get a number of other people to try it and I think this product is a bit like Marmite. You either love it or you hate it. Many hated it but others, including myself, loved it. I don't think I would buy this product again for its nutritional content or health benefits, but I would buy it for the flavour. It was 2 for £2.50 at Tesco so I'm saving the other for when I've been to the gym to see if I can feel any of the supposed benefits of the water after a work out.

What do you think of Vita Coco? Love it or hate it?

Lots of Love

Soap and Glory Butter Yourself Body Lotion

I have to tell you about this product as it has turned into one of my absolute favourite moisturising products ever. I'm also a massive fan of anything Soap and Glory. For Christmas I was lucky enough to be given a giant haul of Soap and Glory products in the form of their many gifts sets and in one of them was this gorgeous moisturiser. I normally wouldn't have picked this up in boots as I've always been a Righteous Butter fan. But I am so glad this was included in the set otherwise I may never have tried it.  This moisturiser smells just as gorgeous as the other soap and glory products. It has a slightly citrusy smell and contains shea butter, orange water juice and mango oil amongst many other amazing ingredients. I have the pump version (you can also get this in a pot in the body butter version) and find it very handy. However the only annoyance is when the pump sometimes gets blocked. But this is something I can get over as the product is just so darn good. ...

My perfect summer moisturising duo

I promise you this post isn't sponsored by Garnier! It just so happens that these are the two products I love during the summer months. During summer it's essential to keep moisturised to maintain the summer glow that you may have acquired from going abroad (or this year from the gorgeous weather we've had in the UK!) and the Garnier Body Intensive 7 Days is perfect for hydrating thirsty skin, whilst the Garnier Ambre Solaire After Sun is brilliant for maintaining your tan.  Garnier Body Intensive 7 Days  The reason I love this product so much is because it is such a light moisturiser. It's very easily absorbed and leaves your skin feeling beautifully soft. The light scent you get from the Shea Butter isn't heavy and doesn't linger which I quite like in a moisturiser so it doesn't affect the scent of my perfume. I'm unsure as to it's 7 day moisturising claim as I have never actually gone a week without using this product but there has been ...

My other love in life...

Is music. So I thought I might try mixing things up a little bit. Not every week, but most weeks I'm going to start posting tracks on here that are my most listened too and highly recommend. It might be fairly sporadic as will only be when I think a track is really worth sharing and I might just add it into my usual posts. What do you all think? I've being toying with the idea for a while and have decided to just go for it. I love listening to music of any genre and love sharing tracks with my friends so thought I would include you lot in that too. My taste in music is a bit all over the place. There isn't really a specific genre of music I love so each thing I post is going to be fairly random and will just be what I'm into at that moment in time. So a word of warning it might not be to everyone's taste! So here's my first track of the week.. So this is Changes by Faul & Wad Ad Vs Pnau.  I heard this about 3 weeks ago and it screame...
